A Word on Equanimity

one of the most inspiring yoga teachers I have come across on my way to birthing the inside space made it very clear that in yoga, as in all things, there is an unrelenting equanimity present–an omnipotent push and pull.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

some days we feel we must push. and it feels hard.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

other days, we are pulled right along, as if attached to a hook on a fishing rod that is reeling us closer and closer to an illusionary final destination.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

whether we are feeling more in the push or in the pull, we have an option to allow for ease. to allow for something different. for allow for something that was perhaps beyond the ever-confining walls of the tunnels in which we find ourselves and our vision.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

open it up today. let yourself be moved.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

sink into the equanimity of it all. we're going to get where we are going no matter what.
