It's Not Looking That Makes Us Afraid

“It is not looking that makes us afraid”

So often in life, we wait until another moment in our current state cannot be tolerated before we make the conscious choice to act and to do, well, something. This something may have the potential to kindly (or perhaps quite abruptly) help us out of an old state and into a new one.

People are wildly intelligent, but something has the ability to stop us in our tracks and inhibit us from taking immediate action. We have this burning desire to know what it is going to look like on the other side, and even how we are going to get there. And that thought alone can be stifling for many.

How willing are we to plunge into the unknown and move for ourselves?

What if this is just how it is?

For some, the most intimidating aspect of life is found in these unknown, seemingly mysterious moments. However, they only stay dark, musty, and covert until we choose to stare them down. To shine into them the light of a thousand suns. To stand up to them. To show them that we can tap into our own inherent power and move—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

These unknown moments give us time and space to cultivate stories, to play out full-on thrillers of what-if’s in our heads. However, these emotions, these thoughts, these feelings rooted in the fear of seeing what really is or could be, do not just stay in the head and the mind. The venture, they creep, they wiggle their way into our bodies, and into our nervous system—the very thing that perceives our entire world.

What happens when our nervous system is dawned with the task of regulating these emotions and feelings of what-if?

It becomes overloaded. The system jams, the software that is the miles of nerve tissue slows, and the ability of our nervous system to perceive our world as it really is becomes altered. We develop what we refer to here at Organic Family as nerve blockages. And so, we become afraid to look.

But listen, I have great news.

There is something we can do, together, and it all starts with a chiropractic adjustment.

As chiropractors, we are concerned with the nervous system. We aim to remove nerve blockages to restore full flow of life, to unload the system, and to upgrade the software. By removing areas of nerve blockages, the brain and body can once again communicate via the nervous system, and the reality and beauty of life can be perceived, recorded, and expanded.

When we can perceive in every way, with all of our senses, how great it feels to be in our bodies, life becomes that much more beautiful, more joyful. We find ourselves with an increased sense of connection to who we are, to our purpose, to our power.

We are here to support you and your loved ones in your journey of looking right in the face those things that are holding you back from expressing as much life as possible. We believe in the importance of living life through a clear lens, and helping each and every person in the community tap into their innate potential.

When we move together and with support, it then becomes not so scary to look.
