The Magic of Milestones
i have had several families report back to us that within a day of their baby’s first adjustment, they “all of a sudden” started to roll, sit, crawl, stand, or walk.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
while the cdc may have gotten rid of crawling as a milestone, the truth around this milestone is that it is absolutely critical for developing deep and foundational neurological roots.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
these roots are needed to help right and left sides of brain and body work together, which allows for strong foundation in things like
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
reading
writing with a pen, pencil, or marker
agility
coordination
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
and perhaps one that isn’t quite as thought of as correlated—
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
emotional regulation
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
while these milestones may happen at variable times (your child is developing divinely according to nature), it is, in fact, fairly important that they do happen in this order.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
when we continue to support the perception of safety by way of our nervous systems, we are absolutely not surprised to hear that our kiddos are developing according to neurological perfection.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
curious about your kiddos milestones (regardless of age)? reach out to us. i would be so happy to support you and your family.
