A Reframe on Our Humanity
i believe and feel with every cell that makes us up that humans, collectively, are here to help and support one another through this winding and, at times, rather vague path that is living.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
i encourage the asking for help, the seeking of support, the calling of sisters, brothers, friends, colleagues, and providers who show up in congruence with that which resonates.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
we aren't meant to do it alone, to do any of it in isolation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
what we experience within the confines of our walls more often than not, is that we are all starving for comfort, for listening, for compassion.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
and admittingly, it is sometimes far easier to give it to others than it is to provide for ourselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
so we provide that which we are craving most for others, in practice for giving it to ourselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
and we welcome our own support gifted to others, yet find it more difficult to receive that same support and love right back.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
so today, we invite you to allow yourself to be supported, or even to seek it out.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ask for help.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
let someone love on you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
sit with it. bask in it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
this is what it means to be human.
