The Reality of Deep Healing in Our Children

while we hear so many amazing responses about what happens with our individuals and families after they're sessions with us, we also want to be authentic about the piece that isn't quite as published on these social media platforms.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

as adults, when we have big emotions that arise from within, we have found ways to cope, often times verbalizing that we are just exhausted, that we need alone time, that we need physical touch to soothe, that we need rest.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

our kiddos are learning. they are relatively new around here.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

we cannot expect that they will have the same ability to vocalize their needs as adults (we're still practicing, too!).

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

this is an example of how a shift in these big emotions might. present in our kids.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

agitation, outbursts, tantrums, crying, rage.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

it is all normal. it is all unfolding divinely.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

what we love to see, almost more than anything is when our parents hold space for the emotions of their children--in all their shapes and forms.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

what may seem like a regression in behavior is actually quite the opposite.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

this is their nervous system building a stronger foundation, deepening roots that may have not quite reach the depths that they could previously.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

this is healing.
